팀검정의 첫 번째 목가구전 《온기를 [ ]》는 오동나무의 물성과 한국 전통의 낙동법을 통해 드러나는 재료의 변화, 그리고 함께 시간을 쌓아온 사람들 사이의 관계와 온기를 보여주는 전시이다. 불을 지나며 숨겨진 결이 드러나는 나무처럼, 서로 다른 삶의 시간을 지나온 사람들이 함께 배우고 만들며 형성한 흔적과 변화가 가구의 형태로 놓인다.가볍고 부드러운 오동나무는 불을 지나며 더욱 깊은 결을 드러낸다. 벗기고 태우는 과정을 거쳐 나타나는 무늬는 새롭게 입혀진 것이 아니라, 나무 안에 오래도록 숨어 있던 본래의 모습이다. 팀검정은 이러한 변화의 과정에 깊이 매료되었고, 낙동법을 통해 나무가 지닌 시간과 물성을 드러내고자 했다.이번 전시에서 말하는 온기는 나무에만 머물지 않는다. 매주 김포의 작업장에 모여 함께 배우고 만들며 시간을 쌓아온 팀검정의 구성원들은, 어느새 서로의 안부를 묻고 일상을 나누는 생활의 공동체가 되었다. 20대부터 60대까지 다양한 세대의 구성원들이 함께 지나온 시간은 저마다의 결과 온기를 천천히 만들어왔다.《온기를 [ ]》는 그렇게 켜켜이 쌓인 시간과 관계 위에서 탄생한 결과물이다. 오동나무와 불의 과정을 통해 생겨난 온기, 그리고 함께 시간을 지나며 길러온 관계의 온기는 마침내 가구의 형태로 놓인다. 이번 전시는 팀검정이 만들어낸 그 온기의 시간을 마주하는 자리이다.

Warmth [ ], the first furniture exhibition by Team Gumjung, explores the transformation of paulownia wood through the traditional Korean Nakdong charring technique, alongside the warmth and relationships built through shared time. Like hidden grain revealed through fire, traces of time, labor, and human connection emerge in the form of furniture.

Through repeated burning and stripping, the natural patterns long concealed within the wood gradually surface. Team Gumjung became deeply drawn to this process, where fire reveals the material’s inherent texture and depth.

The warmth explored in this exhibition extends beyond the wood itself. For years, members of Team Gumjung have gathered weekly at a workshop in Gimpo to learn, make, cook, and spend time together. What began as a woodworking community gradually became a community of everyday life.

Warmth [ ] presents the warmth shaped through wood, fire, and the accumulation of shared time — ultimately taking form as furniture.
